Charlotte Addington-Weikel
President & Certifying Teacher Trainer
Charlotte is a fitness professional who is on the forefront of America's current trend toward wellness through connection of the mind and body. Her approach towards the health balance comes from the integration of pleasure of art, exercise, & good nutrition into daily life.
Developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, Pilates is a total body conditioning workout suitable for people of all ages and body types. It engages and refreshes one with it's intense challenge, blending Eastern and Western philosophies of physical and mental conditioning. Joseph Pilates said "In 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 you'll see the difference in 30 you'll have a whole new body." Some of these benefits include:
- Improved Posture
- Stress Reduction
- Increased Stamina & Energy
- Strengthened Bones
- Improved Circulation
- Prevention of Pain
- Mental and Physical Body Control
Through the assistance of instructors, Pilates exercises are performed on either a mat, using one's own body resistance, or with special equipment. This equipment allows the exercise to stretch farther and into different positions. Instructors with the B-Fit Center are nationally certified as personal trainers, as well as certified in the Pilates Method through the PhysicalMind Institute (Formerly the Pilates Institute).
At The B-Fit Center, clients are from all walks of life, including seniors and the physically challenged.
